Abstract

|
White phosphorus, whether used as an incendiary of igniter or other munitions, is commonly found on the battlefield in hand grenade. In civilian life, it is usde in the manufacture of various insecticides and fertilizers.
We studied the cause and clinical characteristics of chemical bums occurred following explosions of white phosphorus containing grenade. The causes of the chemical bums were all the human or mechanical errors.
So that, we conclude as follow. First, the grenade must be manufactured exactly. Second, the handles should be educated in the risk and emergency case.
